Almond Milk

There’s nothing better than fresh homemade almond milk! It’s easily adjustable and versatile by adding different sweeteners and spices such as vanilla extract, almond extract, maple syrup, cinnamon, pumpkin spice, or even cacao powder for “chocolate milk”. You can also adjust the thickness by changing the water quantity. It’s amazing in cereal, oatmeal, tea, milkshakes, soup base etc. The best part is avoiding any harmful preservatives unlike the store-bought kind. It’s fairly quick and easy to make, and all you need is a high-speed blender, a nut-milk bag and a bowl.

My Recipe

Prep Time: 15 mins

  • 1 cup raw almonds, soaked overnight.
  • 4 cups water.
  • 2 Medjool dates.

  1. First, drain the almond water through a strainer and rinse well.
  2. Throw everything in a high-speed blender, and blend for a few minutes.
  3. Strain the milk through a nut-milk bag, then transfer to a mason jar.
